ART HALL Enjoys the Ride of His Life
This past December Desert AIDS Project honored four community members who continue to enhance and promote the health and well-being of our community. The event was hosted by Bruce Vilanch and featured a special performance by Broadway’s James Snyder.
ART HALL, best known as the proprietor of First Gallery in Rancho Mirage, has been on the front lines of fighting the AIDS epidemic since the early 1980s, when he volunteered at the hospital to feed AIDS patients. Over time he brought his love of art to the project, curating both D.A.P.’s original offices and current ones with a magical art collection from Steve Chase. Hall has also framed every piece of art donated to D.A.P. for free, helping the organization raise countless thousands of dollars.
In addition to Hall, this year’s attendees applauded LYNN HAMMOND, MATHEW STOCKER and TOM OLIVER.
